iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 Third Public Beta Released!
The new iOS 17 beta version, which everyone included in Apple’s testing program can currently download, brings along several innovations. So let’s take a closer look at the changes made with iOS 17 Beta 3.
Mental Health
Several interface improvements have been made in the Mental Health section of the Health app. This translates to a more user-friendly design. Colors and symbols are now displayed based on your mood. Various other improvements like this have been implemented.
Safari
After installing the iOS 17 Beta 3 update, when you open a private tab for the first time in your mobile browser Safari, an introductory screen appears for a setting called “Locked Private Browsing.” This feature locks the browser when you exit the application or close the phone screen. When you wake the device, it requires you to authenticate your identity with Face ID, Touch ID, or a password to access the private tab again.
Before this feature, if you closed the phone and woke it up again while a private tab was open, the private tab would open without any authentication prompt. This is indeed one of the useful privacy features.
Shortcuts
Updates have been made to the icons used for Safari in the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. As part of this, changes have been made to the icons to clearly indicate the purpose of the shortcut.
